Filtering out inactive company websites

Looking to filter out companies that do NOT have an active website? Simply toggle the pre-filter 'Web presence' to so that companies with "none" are removed from your results.

Toggling the web presence filter away from 'none' is a good strategy to eliminate most of the unwanted companies from your search on the basis of a downed website. Web presence comes from crawling websites, so if no website exists to crawl, it should be zero.

To further elaborate on the driving factors behind web presence, it will be zero if:

  • The website was but is no longer functioning, or was not functioning at the time of the crawl

  • The website was recently registered, and does not yet have much activity, or

  • The company simply does not have any web presence

Cyndx allows you to see historical data on a company, so we do not delete a company profile, even if a company has already been acquired or closed the doors.
