Cyndx Finder allows you to apply filters either before or after running a search. We recommend starting your search without filters and adding them as you refine your results. This approach ensures you don’t accidentally exclude relevant companies that you would expect to see.

Refine by Location
You can filter your Finder search by location by selecting only one category from the following options: global region, country, state, or exact location, either before or after running the search. Click on the location pin iconand a pop-out box will appear with two tabs: Geographic Location and Exact Location.
A. Geographic Location
Click on one category from the tabs shown—global region, country, or state—and a dropdown will appear. You can start typing to narrow down the list. Click on the checkbox to add one or more options within that category. This means that if you choose to filter by country, for example, you can select one or multiple countries, but not from other categories like state, global region, or exact location.
Example: How do I find targets in Latin America?
Select Latin America under the Global Region dropdown. This will include Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. If you are specifically looking for Mexico, you will need to add that as a Country Filter in a separate search run.
B. Exact Location
Begin typing in the address tab and select the exact or closest match from the suggestions that appear below. The default maximum distance is 250 miles, but you can adjust this to your preference, including switching from miles to kilometers. Once you're satisfied with your selection, click outside the box to apply it as a filter. If you already have an existing location filter, the new one will override it.
Filter by Company Details
Click on the filter icon, and a pop-out box will appear, displaying filters grouped by company info, employee count, company age, financials, featured filters, and funding stage. You can select multiple filters across these categories. Don’t forget to click 'Done' and rerun the search to apply the selected filters. To show all options in a category, don't select anything. To exclude one option, select all others and leave the one you want to exclude unselected. If you’ve selected a filter you no longer want, simply click it again to unselect, or click 'Clear All' if you want to start over or try a different set of filters.
Company Info Filters
The following filters refer to:
Private: All private companies, with or without tagged relationships to other companies.
Private Parent: Private companies with subsidiaries.
Private Subsidiary: Private companies that are subsidiaries of a parent company.
Public: All public companies, with or without subsidiaries.
Public Parent: Public companies with subsidiaries.
Employee Count Filter
Select from the ranges listed here. You can choose multiple filters to cover the desired range. For example, to find companies with 1-100 employees, select the first three options to cover the entire range.
Company Age Filter
Click the box to enter your desired company age in years. If you don’t want to set a maximum age (e.g., looking for companies founded more than 3 years ago), input 3 in the minimum age and leave the maximum age blank, then click 'Done' to apply. You can also check the 'Include Unknown' box to ensure you don't miss any companies with incomplete details.
Financials Filter
Select from the ranges listed here, which can be applied for both private and public companies, and choose multiple filters to cover the desired range. For example, to find companies with revenues below 50M, select the first three options. You can also check the 'Unknown' box to include companies with incomplete details.
Public Company Financials
You can enter specific amount ranges for the last twelve months (LTM) in each public company financial filter. Set your exact desired minimum and maximum amounts, as the values are not formatted in millions or thousands. For example, to look for companies with less than $1B EBITDA (LTM), enter 1,000,000,000 in the maximum field and leave the minimum field blank, then click 'Done' to apply. To exclude negative values, set the minimum amount to 0. You can also check the 'Include Unknown' box to ensure you don’t miss companies with incomplete details.
