Velocity is the newest AI model available on Finder which aggregates all the data (and metadata) we have on a company to provide you with actionable information to prioritize your Finder search results.

Who is this for? M&A professionals and acquirers/investors looking for mid-market private company velocity or changes to their velocity, in regards to a potential target’s performance.

Cyndx Scores have the following features:

· An AI-generated probability / score

· Status icon on a company profile page listing the score

· Contributing factors

· Finder Filter

Velocity calculates how closely a company matches profiles of similar companies that have raised a series B round or exited. Private companies that have not yet raised a series B or exit, including companies with no funding rounds, will have a score available in the profile header.

Cyndx Scores specifically aggregate and analyze metadata on companies in our system to provide insights that could take your teams days / weeks to compile and calculate – saving you that valuable time while also providing actionable insights.

Velocity considers all of the data we have on a particular company and compares it against the performance of comparable / peer companies that have raised a B round of funding or exit.

Over 200 factors which positively or negatively contribute to the score are aggregated into one of the following categories

1. Company Profile

2. Size

3. Funding

4. Web Presence

5. M&A

6. Investor Base

7. Leadership

8. Business Activities

9. Intellectual Property

The 200+ features that are considered by the model have different impacts on the score. For example, the history and bios for the leadership team may not have as much of an impact to a company’s score as the funding round information.

In terms of how the information will display, we aggregate the 200+ features into 9 categories and then display the top 5 on the platform with any factor not in the top 5 aggregate into “Other”. For example, company age, location and industry roll up to “Company Profile”.

Some companies will also display a historical values chart. When available, companies will have up to three years worth of historical data allowing users to analyze a potential target’s performance and velocity over time.

As per a report from Crunchbase, US Series B investments jumped from $26.1 B in 2020 to $56.7 B in 2021. Investments into earlier stage / growth stage companies continue to increase even as there's economic downturn in other parts of the market.

Velocity can be leveraged along with our proprietary ‘projected to raise’ algorithm.
