Logging in for the first time

After first logging into your Owner account, follow the steps listed in the blank cap table Dashboard:

  1. Create the appropriate Financing rounds

  2. Draft an Equity Incentive Plan (if applicable)

  3. Create corresponding Securities Terms

4. Navigate back to the empty cap table Dashboard, click to Download Template, and fill out accordingly

Populating and uploading the Excel template

  • Your template will list out the relevant Financing Rounds, Equity Incentive Plans, and Security terms on the summary worksheet titled Lists (Please note, this for reference only and cannot be edited*).

  • On the second worksheet titled Holder Profiles, fill in all of the relevant individual security holder names and emails

  • Fill out the relevant individual security holdings on the Share, Option, Warrant, Convertible Note, and SAFE holdings worksheets - Make sure to complete all the required fields labeled with an asterisk

  • Please note, include only Financing Round or only Equity Incentive Plan for each security, do not fill in both columns.

  • Please use the drop down menus in cells where available in order to guarantee that the template can be uploaded successfully**

  • When done, don't forget to hit save!

5. Go back to the empty Dashboard page and click on the blue button to Import Cap Table

  • Attach your recently completed template, select Import, and your Owner cap table will be generated on the spot

*The Lists tab is locked from editing and it provides a summary for the items that are available under their respective menus in the security holdings worksheets. All of the information that you must populate manually in steps 1-3 will feed in here.

**In the event of an error when attempting to upload, please make sure that all worksheets are filled out properly, and that any populated cell with a drop down menu links to the correct item. If you need assistance, please contact [email protected] or reach out through the chat.
