How does the operator work when I search for multiple concept inputs?

You are able to search in Finder by stringing together multiple inputs. However it can be helpful to understand how multiple inputs influence your Finder results. In this article, we will lay out how a concept search with multiple concepts works.

When you add multiple concepts, if a few of them are more similar to each other than an outlier, the algorithm output weighs more heavily toward the similar concepts.

In the first screenshot example below with numerous spices, (which are similar to each other semantically), and "manufacturer", the algorithm output weighs more heavily toward spices. So when you are adding multiple concepts, it may be best to utilize equal weightings or at least, understand this nuance.

Example:
cinnamon + thyme + allspice + manufacturer

The user should expect results that lean more heavily in terms of spices.
However, I can balance this by adding manufacturing related concepts to the search, see second screenshot example below.


Example:
cinnamon + thyme + allspice + manufacturer + manufacturing process
